Seniors Program

As adults age, they can experience challenges with life transitions. Cypress Creek Hospital offers a specialized inpatient treatment program dedicated to the unique needs of seniors who are affected by memory impairments and need short-term, acute psychiatric care.

Our program treats seniors who need 24-hour hospitalization and require a secure environment to address their clinical needs. Medical staff
are always available.

Delivering service excellence while providing quality care is our priority. Our goal is to help patients improve coping skills and gain the insight and tools to help restore, maintain and enhance their quality of life.

Our Seniors Program can include:

  • 24-hour care
  • A separate and dedicated unit
  • No-cost assessments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Stabilization of acute mental health conditions
  • Mental health assessments, using our HIPPA-compliant telehealth platform
  • Consultation with our geriatrician and attending psychiatrist
  • A nursing, behavioral therapy and recreational therapy team and staff familiar with the unique needs of memory-impaired patients
  • Virtual family visiting hours
  • Marriage and family counseling as needed and weekly family support groups
  • Availability of an on-site medical group to assist with medical care

Additional benefits can include the availability of a board-certified geriatrician

  • Extensive experience in the unique needs of the geriatric population
  • Expertise in working with seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s
  • Works with the attending psychiatrist to guide care
